how to grow:

Lemon balm can easily be grown from seeds. The plant is perennial and grows in US hardy zones 5-9. It likes a spot that is not too hot and not too dry.


medicinal properties:

It's nice to drink lemon balm tea but it is a very good medicinal herb.
It is said to help with allergies and asthma. Then it is usually drunk as an iced lemon balm tea.
It is also good for colds.
Sometimes it is also used as an antidepressant.
It is also reported to help against mumps.
For the treatment of herpes (Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV)) it is used as a cream.
And it is said to be useful to help to normalize thyroid function , especially with Graves' disease.
