how to grow:

Burdock an be grown from seeds. They are biennials but come back every year in our garden like perennials and they are hardy in Us zones 2-10. They get quite big and if you come too close to the plant you will see that they behave a bit like velcro.

medicinal properties:

Burdock is a blood cleanser and is used to heal all kind of skin diseases.
It can be useful for all eruptive diseases including measles and chickenpox. It can also be used to treat gall and kidney stones.
It stimulates kidney function which then helps to clean and purify the blood.
Drinking burdock tea can also help with lowering blood sugar levels.
Burdock tea with honey and milk is said to relieve rheumatism / arthritis.
For skin problems burdock can be combined with dandelion, yellow dock and red clover.
