angelica - Angelica archangelica

how to grow:
I bought plants. They are short lived perennials and are hardy in zones 4-9. Angelica needs shade during the hottest time of the day and needs moist soil and some space. It dies back in fall but for a few years comes back again in spring. It takes 2 or 3 years for seeds to grow but once they are there the plant will die. If conditions are good it will replant by itself.
medicinal properties:
The root is the part that is mainly used medicinally. Angelica is said to be a great herb for women. It can relieve cramps and help with delayed menstruation as well as with menopausal problems.
Angelica can also help with a lack of appetite.

cautions and possible side effects:
I didn't find any.
